Ben's Beginners™: With less time for family meal preparation,
consumers are increasingly turning to pre-packaged, less healthy meal
solutions. Uncle Ben's inspired parents to get cooking with their kids,
enabling families with products and recipes to create quick, easy,
and healthier meals, together. Ben's Beginners cooking contest was
activated nationally, and tailored across retail channels to drive added
impact. Kroger included grilling recipes with rice that were tailored for
the Summer to Remember corporate pla orm, while Target featured a
rich social infuencer campaign to bring added visibility to the grocery
category. Meijer benefited from targeted outreach to lapsed category
buyers to support category growth, while Publix shoppers were
engaged across targeted digital channels and shopper blogs, to drive
increased shopper engagement.
Results: Sales increased substantially across US and at leading
retail customers, with tens of thousands of video and photo recipe
submissions across all 50 states.
