Consumers entered from June 7 through Aug. 1 via a "Shake It Like It's Hot" page within the retailer's mobile application, which encouraged participants to "shake your phone to play." Physically shaking the phone or selecting a "shake" button directed users to a page within the app providing instructions on how to redeem a prize or telling them to "try again tomorrow." In stores, account-specific cooler clings positioned near Pepsi product touted the sweeps and a "bundle deal" on the combined purchase of a Pepsi Fire beverage and a new Doritos HeatWave SKU. Circle K additionally teamed with PepsiCo's Mountain Dew and Doritos to stage a sweepstakes and promotion that rewards shoppers for purchasing the brands' products. From Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, Circle K shoppers can earn "Dew Inner Circle" points by scanning a bar code found within the retailer's mobile application when purchasing Mountain Dew or Doritos SKUs. Shoppers can earn up to 10 points on each SKU purchased. The points are redeemable for rewards via the app through Jan. 31, 2018. In stores, price signs, wobblers and cooler clings tout the promotion and a special combo price on the purchase of a Mountain Dew bottle and a bag of Doritos.
