A SUPPLEMENT TO

P2PX Co-Chairs Emphasize 'Community'
Marketing executives from seven Path to Purchase Institute member companies are
serving as co-chairs for the 2017 Path to Purchase Expo, which takes place Sept. 2628 in Rosemont, Illinois. In addition to being general ambassadors and participating
in a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the event, we asked the co-chairs to spend a little time
talking to us about what P2PX means to them and their organizations.
A recurring theme in our conversations with them is the community, the connections and the relationships that P2PX facilitates. Here is some of what they had to say:
"P2PX enables me to make real
connections that result in real business
opportunities," says Linda Crowder of
Peapod Interactive.
"P2PX facilitates relationship building,"
says Sue Barkalow of Mars Chocolate.
"Some of the connections I've made
have helped me gain recognition for my
team as well as further my involvement
as a leader in shopper marketing."
"The sense of community at P2PX is
incredibly encouraging," says Rafael
Defaria of Procter & Gamble. "It's a
fairly big industry and this is the one
place where we connect."

"All the heads of shopper marketing
are typically at P2PX. Sometimes it's
difficult to engage via email - at the
event it's easier to solidify a partnership
program," says Jen Reiner of Del Monte
Foods. "There's a lot of value in staying
connected with peers in the industry.
It's a great way to continue building
partnerships."
"For senior-level roles, P2PX is more
about connections with people going
through similar challenges," says Liz
Mayer of J.M. Smucker Co.
"On a number of occasions I've been
able to follow up on a connection I made
at P2PX to just talk about the discipline,"
says Bob Waibel of Conagra Brands.
