BRAND MARKETERS
Ralph Lauren, New York
Ralph Lauren hired Patrice Louvet to succeed
Stefan Larsson as CEO, effective July 17. Louvet
recently headed Procter & Gamble's global
beauty division. Larsson left Ralph Lauren after
one year.

Hail Merry, Dallas
Fresh snacking brand Hail Merry appointed
Eric Brown as chief financial officer, the first
executive finance position in the company's
nine-year history. Brown previously served
as vice president of finance for Aramark
Healthcare Technologies. He held the same
role for Frito-Lay Supply Chain.

RETAILERS
Albertsons, Boise, Idaho
Karl Varsanyi joins as general vice president of
digital product management, with responsibility
for the digital experience - web, mobile app
and in-store - for all brands and locations.
Ramiya Iyer also joins Albertsons as GVP of IT
digital and marketing/merchandising. She was
previously VP of e-commerce with Levi's and
held various IT leadership roles at Walmart.com
and SamsClub.com.

BJ's Wholesale Club, Westborough, Massachusetts
Rafeh Masood fills the newly created role of
senior vice president and chief digital officer.
He will oversee the retailer's e-commerce and
omnichannel efforts, focusing on initiatives
that drive sales, enhance convenience
and showcase value to members. Masood
previously served as VP of customer innovation

technology at Dick's Sporting Goods for four
years, where he led the specialty store's digital
platforms.
In addition, Scott Kessler succeeds the
retiring Peter Amalfi as executive VP and
chief information officer of BJ's, effective
immediately. Kessler was most recently EVP
and CIO at department store chain Belk.

Staples, Framingham, Massachusetts
Staples hired Michelle Bottomley to succeed
Frank Bifulco as chief marketing officer.
Bottomley is responsible for marketing across
Staples as the retailer pivots strategy to focus
on its North American delivery business. She
will report directly to CEO and president Shira
Goodman. Bottomley served as global chief
marketing and sales officer at Mercer. Staples
also named Brett Wahlin to the newly created
role of chief information security officer. He
is responsible for global enterprise-wide
information, product and data security. Wahlin
reports directly to chief technology officer
Faisal Masud.

Walmart, Bentonville, Arkansas
Marybeth Hays, chief merchandising,
marketing and supply chain officer at Walmart
China, succeeded Scott Huff as executive vice
president, consumables, health & wellness.
Hays previously was senior vice president for
both the home and ladies' apparel divisions
for Walmart U.S. She joined the company
in 2009 as senior vice president of home,
apparel, jewelry and seasonal at Sam's Club.

Whole Foods, Austin, Texas
Whole Foods named Keith Manbeck executive
vice president and chief financial officer.
