A SUPPLEMENT TO

Institute Members Convene
for P2PX Curriculum Selection
Eight industry practitioners - all Path
to Purchase Institute members - were
asked to share their perspectives and
help the Institute choose seminar content for September's Path to Purchase
Expo (P2PX). At a daylong curriculum selection meeting held March 15
at FCB/RED offices in Chicago, these
members along with Institute staffers
reviewed and rated 78 seminar session
proposals. Participants included:
* Tina Manikas, President, FCB/RED;
* Rafael DeFaria, Brand Manager,
Procter & Gamble;
* Linda Crowder, Senior Director Peapod Interactive, Peapod LLC;
* Nicole Pavlica, Senior Brand Shopper
Marketing Manager, Sargento Foods;
* Bob Waibel, Senior Director, Shopper
Marketing, Conagra Brands;
* Katie Hale, Digital Shopping
Specialist, Meijer;
* Curtis Munk, SVP, Group Planning
Director, FCB/RED; and
* Art Sebastian, Director of Digital
Shopping, Meijer.

"One of the fundamental values of
the Institute is knowledge transfer and
education," said Mike McMahon, In-

stitute president & executive director.
"Developing content that's second to
none will help propel the industry forward and ensure maximum value for
all our Institute members."
This year, the Institute received more
than 150 submissions for the 42 speaking slots at the 2017 Expo, to be held
September 26-28 in Chicago. Each
member pre-read the 19 categories of
session proposals, scoring them on the
basis of importance/value of the topics
being reviewed, the knowledge of the
intended speaker and the relevance of
any related topics. "We are delighted
with how well the process worked with
this group," McMahon said. "Their
knowledge, expertise and engagement
in this process helps ensure that only
the most relevant and thought-provoking topics, ideas and innovations from
retailers, CPG manufacturers and solution providers make the final cut. We
successfully revived a best practice that
has been at the Institute in the past,
and we'll be asking members to repeat
the process this fall as we prepare the
curriculum for the 2018 Shopper Marketing Summit."
