DOT Call for Entries Now Open
For more than 20 years, the Design of the
Times competition has celebrated the most
effective in-store activations, displays and
campaigns, and recognized their critical
role in any successful shopper marketing
initiative. Entries for the 2016 competition
will be accepted through May 27. The program will continue with a judging event in
Chicago in July and a gallery and special
awards reception and ceremony in September at the Shopper Marketing Conference
& Expo, both in Rosemont, Ill.
Entries are judged based on the "4C's
of Effective In-Store Activation" and other
competition criteria, including how well
the entry commanded attention, connected
with the shopper, conveyed information
and closed the sale.
The finalists, which will demonstrate an
exemplary understanding of their marketing program's objective and that use the appropriate in-store tactic to achieve optimal
results, will be displayed in the Design of
the Times Gallery in front of thousands of
brand marketers, agency creatives and retail
executives.
Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Best
of the Times winners will be announced
during the Awards Ceremony on Sept. 21
at the Shopper Marketing Conference &
Expo.

The Institute is still actively seeking 2016
judges. Contest rules require that all Design
of the Times judges work for a consumer
